Fire/Smoke Insurance Claims

Residential fires are one of the most devastating events that can happen to a family’s home. Even a small kitchen fire can produce a lot of damage to other areas due to soot, smoke, water and the process of fighting the fire itself. Your Homeowner’s insurance policies may cover all damages you have.

When your property has been damaged or destroyed by fire, you are probably at the end of your rope, both mentally and physically. Just dealing with everyday tasks while in temporary quarters without most of your personal belongings would be difficult for anyone.

It is the insured’s responsibility to document and file the claim. The insurance company surveys the claim and may issue you a settlement check so you can start rebuilding, but may not thoroughly investigate looking for every potential loss. That is your responsibility. You may need a Public Adjuster to work for you to do thorough investigation.

As a result of Fire Damage restoration claims; complaints of smoke smell and odors that have never dissipated from a loss years prior and/or mismatched, improper repairs and resulting mold from the firefighting efforts

Why should you consider Insurance Assurance Inc. your Fire Damage Adjuster?

Fire damage adjusters are familiar with all procedures so they can work quickly to expedite payments. A professional, conscientious public adjuster, Fire damage adjuster can make a tremendous difference in the amount and quality of a policyholder’s settlement.

Fire damage adjuster represents the policyholder in an insurance claim and  inspects the loss site, analyzes the damages, assembles claim support data, reviews the insured’s coverage, determines current repair or replacement costs and exclusively serves the client, not the insurance company. We have successfully represented many of policy holders and quite possibly one of your neighbors.

In a current claim, the insured contacted us as a result of the insurer’s preferred contractor provided them an estimate for $60,000 to make repairs for a fire suffered. In the contractors estimate, it was cited that the electrical wires could not be repaired (spliced) and new wiring had to be installed. Our investigation found repairs started to be in disregard for the insurers preferred contractors own estimate; as he had installed a junction box. When we had the local building department investigate, they found the repairs improper. The insurer has currently paid $230,000 toward the repairs and there is another $50,000 in dwelling damages we are seeking.
